Samurai
Limited Capacity filling up

Samurai is set in medieval Japan. Players compete to gain the favor of three factions: samurai, peasants, and priests, which are represented by helmet, rice paddy, and Buddha tokens scattered about the board, which features the islands of Japan. The competition is waged through the use of hexagonal tiles, each of which help curry favor of one of the three factions — or all three at once! Players can make lightning-quick strikes with horseback ronin and ships or approach their conquests more methodically. As each token (helmets, rice paddies, and Buddhas) is surrounded, it is awarded to the player who has gained the most favor with the corresponding group.

Gameplay continues until all the symbols of one type have been removed from the board or four tokens have been removed from play due to a tie for influence.

At the end of the game, players compare captured symbols of each type, competing for majorities in each of the three types. Ties are not uncommon and are broken based on the number of other, "non-majority" symbols each player has collected.

Mozu Productions presents an oversize version of a classic game from Renegade Game Studios. Join in at anytime, when one game ends another will start. We are happy and able to teach the game!
After being pulled through a black hole, four spaceships find themselves in a dimension with physics never before encountered and without fuel. By mining and collecting basic elements from the space dust and asteroids in the area, you can muster just enough thrust to move your ship. But in this bizarre dimension, gravity is not working like how you’ve been taught. Your ship will typically travel towards the nearest object… which is usually another ship… and those ships are moving. Sometimes forwards, and sometimes backwards.
Time is running out to save your crew and your ship! As a grim reminder of the cost of failing to escape, the frozen hulks of dead spacecraft litter the escape route. But with careful card play, you can slingshot past these derelict craft and be the first to escape from the Gravwell!

Mozu Productions presented an oversize version of a classic game from Renegade Game Studios. Join in at anytime when one game ends another will start! We're happy and able to teach the game!

Lanterns: The Harvest Festival is a tile placement game set in imperial China. Players act as artisans decorating the palace lake with floating lanterns. The artisan who earns the most honor before the festival starts wins the game.
Lantern’s elegant and engaging game-play by designer Christopher Chung features a unique mechanic were players must balance the placement of their tiles or risk helping their opponents on their way to victory. It’s a give and take that provides hours of depth and strategy.
On a turn, a player places a tile depicting various color arrangements, and every player receives lantern cards based on the tile placed. Players dedicate sets of lantern cards to gain honor and favor.

Now you and a few of your old enemies are stuck in a kitchen - not even a super-kitchen, just an ordinary kitchen—baking bread, pastries, pies and cookies. Sanitizing sinks. Scrubbing out grease traps. Not spending all eternity in the Ice Prison of the All-Seeing GodStar.

Terra Mystica
Limited Capacity seats available

In the land of Terra Mystica dwell 14 different peoples in seven landscapes and each group is bound to its own home environment so to develop and grow they must terraform neighboring landscapes into their home environments in competition with the other groups. Terra Mystica is a game with very little luck that rewards strategic planning. Each player governs one of the 14 groups. With subtlety and craft the player must attempt to rule as great an area as possible and to develop that group's skills. There are also four religious cults in which you can progress. To do all that each group has special skills and abilities. Taking turns the players execute their actions on the resources they have at their disposal. Different buildings allow players to develop different resources. Dwellings allow for more workers. Trading houses allow players to make money. Strongholds unlock a group's special ability and temples allow you to develop religion and your terraforming and seafaring skills. Buildings can be upgraded: Dwellings can be developed into trading houses; trading houses can be developed into strongholds or temples; one temple can be upgraded to become a sanctuary. Each group must also develop its terraforming skill and its skill with boats to use the rivers. The groups in question along with their home landscape are: Desert (Fakirs Nomads) Plains (Halflings Cultists) Swamp (Alchemists Darklings) Lake (Mermaids Swarmlings) Forest (Witches Auren) Mountain (Dwarves Engineers) Solitude (Giants Chaos Magicians) Proximity to other groups is a double-edged sword in Terra Mystica. Being close to other groups gives you extra power but it also means that expanding is more difficult...

Anachrony
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

It is the late 26th century. Earth is recovering from a catastrophic explosion that exterminated the majority of the population centuries ago and made most of the surface uninhabitable due to unearthly weather conditions. The surviving humans organized along four radically different ideologies, called Paths, to rebuild the world as they see fit: Harmony, Dominance, Progress, and Salvation. Followers of the four Paths live in a fragile peace, but in almost complete isolation next to each other. Their only meeting point is the last major city on Earth, now just known as the Capital.

By powering up the mysterious Time Rifts that opened in the wake of the cataclysm, each Path is able to reach back to specific moments in their past. Doing so can greatly speed up their progress, but too much meddling may endanger the time-space continuum. But progress is more important than ever before: if the mysterious message arriving through the Time Rift is to be believed, an even more terrible cataclysm is looming on the horizon: an asteroid bearing the mysterious substance called Neutronium is heading towards Earth. Even stranger, the scientists show that the energy signature of the asteroid matches the explosion centuries ago...

Anachrony features a unique two-tiered worker placement system. To travel to the Capital or venture out to the devastated areas for resources, players need not only various Specialists (Engineers, Scientists, Administrators, and Geniuses) but also Exosuits to protect and enhance them — and both are in short supply.

Blue Max - WWI Air combat (Early War - 1915)
Limited Capacity seats available

Blue Max uses a “plotted” movement system in turns with simultaneous movement followed by combat for that game turn. Damage is allocated with a unique system of damage chits that have color coded sides to represent different levels of damage. Players keep track of the status of their aircraft damage, ammunition supply and maneuvers on a specially designed easy to use record sheets. This game is the basic game, where all players fly and fight at the same altitude. This game has been converted from a board game with chits to using 1:72 scale model airplanes flying over an ol’ school “Battle Masters” plastic color hexagon map. The models are mounted to an aircraft stand & rod in which players will use to move their aircraft during the turn. Those players who would like to bring and use their WWI 1:72 scale aircraft, you are more than welcome. In order to mount the model to the stand, I use a low-temp hot glue gun to stick the metal support to the model itself. I have not had any damage to any of my models (approx 150) over the last 30 years running this game, but you accept the risk. I will not assume any liability if damage does occur.

The Han Cluster -- What to Do with the Shok?
Limited Capacity filling up

You are an experienced crew of an independent ship in the Han Cluster in the 27th century, and you have a reputation for specializing in “unusual” jobs. This time a scientific consortium is investigating the unique colony of AI mining machines that have inhabited a restricted critical resource planet for the last two centuries. The Shok, as they are called, have been acting strangely and as a result, are threatening the supply of the essential Crystum needed to power all hyperdrive technology. The situation is precarious, and the consortium requires a crew of your unique talents to brave the inhospitable environment, investigate the situation, and help them determine “What to do with the Shok”.

This is a new sci-fi adventure of intrigue, investigation, and danger set in my own imagined human future: The Han Cluster. We use the FATE Core ruleset, along with a few setting rules. Pregenerated characters are provided. This adventure is suitable for players of ages 13+. No experience with Fate is necessary. Players of all backgrounds and genders / gender identities are welcome.

To complicate matters, the Dim Walkers have claimed all of the possessions of the dead, including an enchanted key to a legendary realm known only as the Twilight Kingdom. Our heroes must travel to the Domes and stop the Dim Walkers before this key to a forgotten evil is used.

Wheelhouse is a post-apocalyptic fantasy role-playing game set thousands of years after a cataclysmic event shattered the world of Mythren. A broken moon grins in the sky and the shadow of an ominous tower now looms over the last vestiges of civilization known as the Twelve Towns. Players awaken a character imbued with the consciousness of a long-dead hero. As a group, the characters are sent beyond the peaceful Twelve Towns and into the devastated "out-world" to serve a singular purpose given to them by the Wheelhouse. A gigantic and mysterious structure, the Wheelhouse is a lynch-pin tower that stands as the last link to the ancient world that was. This purpose drives the characters to act, but deep within is a greater need to discover who they were, who they are, and who they may yet be.

Rhino Hero (Kids' Track)
Limited Capacity seats available

Super Rhino! presents players with an incredibly heroic – and regrettably heavy – rhinoceros who is eager to climb a tall building and leap other tall buildings in a single bound. First, though, you need to construct that building.

Players each start the game with five roof cards, and they take turns adding walls and roofs to a single building. On a turn, you first place walls on the highest floor, then you choose a roof card in your hand and place it on the wall. Each roof card bears markings that indicate where the next player must place walls on the card. In addition, some roof cards force a player to perform special actions, such as placing a second roof, changing the direction of play, or moving Super Rhino to a new location on the tower. Keep your hands steady!

The first player to build all of his roof cards wins the game. Alternatively, if the building collapses, the player who caused the collapse automatically loses, and the player with the fewest roof cards in hand wins.

Stone Age + 'The Expansion'
Limited Capacity seats available

The "Stone Age" times were hard indeed. In their roles as hunters, collectors, farmers, and tool makers, our ancestors worked with their legs and backs straining against wooden plows in the stony earth. Of course, progress did not stop with the wooden plow. People always searched for better tools and more productive plants to make their work more effective.

In Stone Age, the players live in this time, just as our ancestors did. They collect wood, break stone and wash their gold from the river. They trade freely, expand their village and so achieve new levels of civilization. With a balance of luck and planning, the players compete for food in this pre-historic time.

With "The Expansion" the game now accommodates 5 players, plus as the Cave persons have advanced and stabilized, they have developed their own new market system.

Terraforming Mars
Limited Capacity seats available

This session includes teaching the game, so come right in to register if you want to try the game but have never had the chance to do so thus far. Players who had played before are more than welcome to join too!!

The game is set in year 2400 where players will play one of those mega corporations and work together in the terraforming process of Mars, but at the same time compete for getting victory points that they are awarded not only for their contribution to the terraforming effort, but also for advancing human infrastructure throughout the solar system, and doing other commendable things.

Each player keeps track of their production and resources on their player boards, and the game uses six types of resources: MegaCredits, Steel, Titanium, Plants, Energy, and Heat. On the game board, you compete for the best places for your city tiles, ocean tiles, and greenery tiles. You also compete for different Milestones and Awards worth many VPs. Each round is called a generation (guess why) and consists of the following phases:

1) Player order shifts clockwise.
2) Research phase: All players buy cards from four privately drawn.
3) Action phase: Players take turns doing 1-2 actions from these options: Playing a card, claiming a Milestone, funding an Award, using a Standard project, converting plant into greenery tiles (and raising oxygen), converting heat into a temperature raise, and using the action of a card in play. The turn continues around the table (sometimes several laps) until all players have passed.
4) Production phase: Players get resources according to their terraform rating and production parameters.

When the three global parameters (temperature, oxygen, ocean) have all reached their goal, the terraforming is complete, and the game ends after that generation. Count your Terraform Rating and other VPs to determine the winning corporation!

Fortune and Glory

It is the late 1930s, and the world is in turmoil. Humanity is on the brink of war as imperialist nations in the Far East and Europe work aggressively to expand their domination. The Nazis have taken control of Germany and now spread darkness across the globe in their hunt for powerful occult artifacts that can give them the upper hand in the days to come. But the spirit of adventure and freedom won't be stamped out so easily.

Heroic adventurers from around the world answer the call, racing against time to hunt down ancient artifacts, explore deadly temples, and fight back the powers of darkness from engulfing the world in flames. It is a race of good versus evil, and only a cunning and agile explorer can claim the ultimate prize of... Fortune and Glory!

Fortune and Glory: The Cliffhanger Game is a fast-paced game of high adventure, vile villains, edge-of-your-seat danger, and cliffhanger pulp movie action. Players take on the role of a treasure hunter, traveling the globe in search of ancient artifacts and fending off danger and villains at every turn in a quest for the ultimate reward of fortune and glory!

Featuring a beautifully rendered adventure map of the world as the game board, eight pulp adventure heroes to choose from (such as Jake Zane the Flying Ace, Li Mei Chen the Night Club Singer and Martial Artist, or Dr. Zhukov Master of Science), an army of ruthless villains and thugs (including the Chicago Mob and the dreaded occult-hunting Nazis), ancient Mayan temples to explore with a zeppelin hovering overhead, a wealth of coins to horde as heroes collect fortune and glory throughout the game, and a unique mechanism of dangers to overcome and the classic cliffhanger moments of suspense that can result. Fortune and Glory is designed to create a pulp serial cinematic feel as the story and game unfold.

So strap on your adventure boots and goggles, fire up the engines on the seaplane, and grab some extra ammo for your revolver...the Nazis already have a head start and in this race for fortune and glory, and there's no prize for second place!

Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Designer Eric Lang, known for his "dudes on a map" games, describes The Godfather: Corleone's Empire — a standalone big box board game with high-quality miniatures — as "thugs on a map".

In short, the game is a streamlined, confrontational worker placement game filled with murder and intrigue. In long, you play as competing mafia families who are vying for economic control of the organized crime networks of New York City, deploying your thugs, your don, your wife, and your heir on the board to shake down businesses and engage in area-control turf wars.

Money, rackets, contracts, and special advantages (such as the union boss) are represented by cards in your hand, and your hand size is limited, with you choosing which extra cards to pay tribute to the don at the end of each of the five rounds. At the end of the game, though, cash is all that matters, and whoever has the most money wins.

The game also features drive-by shootings in which enemy tokens are removed from the board and placed face-down in the river. The don of that family member must play cards to fish their guys out of the river and return them to duty on the New York battlefield.

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 3-7.
One of Master of Spells Sorrina Westyr's former adventuring companions vanished to the Plane of Earth and was presumed dead. She has recently resurfaced along an old road between the Plane of Earth and the Plane of Fire—one that even the warring forces of the planes' greatest cities had abandoned—and has shown little interest in discussing her circumstances with the Pathfinder Society. Can the PCs uncover why she disappeared and enlist her help in reaching a site on the war-torn and volcanic borderlands?

Serpent's Tooth - Fall of the Golden Guardian
Limited Capacity seats available

In Serpent’s Tooth, we create a story about a "King" in the twilight of his rule...in this case, an aging Superhero named the Golden Guardian. His "Kingdom" is Halcyon City, lately falling into crime and corruption. One of us plays the King, the rest of us play members of the "court" (superheroes, sidekicks, or regular people), each with a hidden nature and each able to seize the King's power for their own. Through play we will discover the fate of the King, the fate of the Kingdom, and what power does to the powerful.

Serpent's Tooth plays with the traditional RPG game master dynamic. As we play, the King player loses his grip on the GM role, and players may take over narrating characters, describing locations, or bringing threats to bear.

Star Trek: Maiden Voyage
Limited Capacity seats available

The USS Daniel has embarked on its maiden voyage with a new crew and no time to waste. Dispatched on a rescue mission to the Shorlyn Expanse, an unstable region that also happens to overlap both Federation and Klingon territory, she has been forced to combine a shakedown cruise with an operation in contested space. Serve as members of the bridge crew under Captain Robert Stout; join away teams as security, science, and medical personnel; and try to balance between your orders, the demands of the Prime Directive, and the needs of the moment.

This story is set in the era of Star Trek II-IV, where Klingons are the enemy, all uniforms are red, and it's still Admiral Kirk to you.

Depending on the release date, this game will either use the final version of the new 2d20 Star Trek system from Modiphius, or the playtest rules for the same, which were released earlier this year. Reference sheets and pregens will be provided.

Trail of Cthulhu - Diablo Canyon
Limited Capacity seats available

1882 - Northern Arizona.

As part of yet another Transcontinental Railroad (this one intended to link Springfield, Missouri and Van Buren, Arkansas to Los Angeles through northern Arizona), the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad committed a blunder that created the oddest example of a company town in Arizona History. It all started when the company ordered the components of a bridge that was too short to span the gorge which had already acquired the name Canyon Diablo.

For thee years, a temporary company town at the east end of the gorge, Canyon Diablo, became a more permanent fixture. Within a short time, a stretch of desert grew to a town of 2000 residents, most of whom were either railroad workers or the merchants, gamblers, prostitutes, and others that could make money off of them.

But most of all, the town attracted outlaws. In the early year's of the town's 20 year history before it would dry up and become a ghost town, the town had six town marshals. None of them lasted longer than a month. In one case, the marshal arrived on the 10 AM stagecoach from Flagstaff, and was being prepared for burial by 3 PM the same day.

Into this town, a new mystery has appeared. Corpses have been disappearing from Boot Hill, and some of the townspeople are acting odd. The A&P Railroad is concerned enough to hire a team of hard-nosed investigators, including the Town's seventh Marshal to break up the gang causing problems in the town and discover exactly who is stealing corpses. Can you brave the real world horrors of a town where life is cheap and death cheaper to learn of the horrors haunting the Territory's most violent town, or will you join the other 35 victims on Boot Hill (including six marshals) overlooking Canyon Diablo?

The Complete Gipf Project
Limited Capacity seats available

With the release of Lyngk, there are now 7 games in the Gipf series of highly regarded abstract games. In this event, we will be trying out any and all of these games that are of interest to the group. If you've never played these games, or have avoided modern abstracts, these are an excellent introduction to the themselves corner of the board game hobby.

The games in the series include:

Gipf - The first and arguably deepest game in the series. It seems like a simple 4 in a row style game, but quickly becomes much more.

Dvonn - A game built around stacking your pieces and remaining connected to the lifelines on the board

Tzaar - One of the shortest and most aggressive games in the series. Highly confrontational, with an almost war game like vibe.

Yinsh - The most popular game in the series with good reason. Combines Othello with an incredible catch up mechanism to create a fantastically fun experience.

Punct - Gipf's version of a connection game. More interesting than it's reputation would suggest.

Zertz - A shrinking board and no pieces owned by either player makes for a real brain-burner. My personal favorite in the series.

Lyngk - The newest addition to the series. Consciously designed as a synthesis of the other six games in the series.

Stone Age
Limited Capacity filling up

Players use up to ten tribe members each in three phases. In the first phase, players place their men in regions of the board that they think will benefit them, including the hunt, the trading center, or the quarry. In the second phase, the starting player activates each of his staffed areas in whatever sequence he chooses, followed in turn by the other players. In the third phase, players must have enough food available to feed their populations, or they face losing resources or points.

All are small bits of land, controlled by petty lords and verging on anarchy. You will bring civilization to these people, uniting them under your banner.

But wait! It must be something in the air; several other monarchs have had the exact same idea. You must race to get as much of the unclaimed land as possible, fending them off along the way. To do this you will hire minions, construct buildings, spruce up your castle, and fill the coffers of your treasury. Your parents wouldn’t be proud, but your grandparents, would be delighted.

While this sounds easy, naturally the other players constantly thwart your building plans by carrying out plans of their own. An Infamous Traffic
Limited Capacity filling up

Description from the publisher:

It’s 1833. The East India Company has just had its monopoly of trade revoked by an official act of Parliament. You, and others like you, see a golden opportunity for profit in China. For too long the Company’s polite deference to the Qing has smothered progress and stifled trade. There is real money to be made here and you intend to make it.

An Infamous Traffic is a brutal economic board game for two to five souls brave enough to conduct the opium trade in the fracturing political landscape of 19th century Qing China. Initially, you will need to rely on smugglers in order to get your products into the interior, but, if Parliament can be swayed, perhaps an open war can make the trade more secure. At the same time, you’ll want to be careful. If British aggression goes unchecked, the region may become a failed state, which could jeopardize your hard fought gains.

Of course, the massive wealth you’ll earn won’t be enough. Trade is still a dirty word among those in the top rungs of society. You certainly haven't forgotten how your business holdings were sneered at by some prodigal baronet during your brief stint at Oxford. They don’t understand. The empire they enjoy was built on trade, not pedigree. So, you’ll play their game, snatching up the precious symbols of nobility with your hard won cash. Perhaps you can restore a beloved castle and stuff it full of the latest luxuries. The right marriage or government post would certainly guarantee your place in society. You might even be tempted to rob your own firm to get that extra edge back home.

In any case, there’s demand for opium in China, and you intend to meet it.

In La Granja, players control small farms by the Alpich pond near the village of Esporles on the island of Mallorca. Over time, the players develop their farms and deliver goods to the village. Players are vying to earn the title of "La Granja" for their country estate!

Over the course of 6 game rounds, players will expand their farm by adding fields, farm extensions, market barrows, and helpers. They will earn VPs by delivering goods to the village of Esporles. It is important to observe the actions of other players, manipulate turn order, and adjust your strategy based on the dice and cards.

Giant Gravwell

Lantern’s elegant and engaging game-play by designer Christopher Chung features a unique mechanic were players must balance the placement of their tiles or risk helping their opponents on their way to victory. It’s a give and take that provides hours of depth and strategy.

Container
Limited Capacity seats available

Container is a game about big ships and big production. Each player will play both as a producer and shipper of goods. Players will decide which products they want to produce, and which of the OTHER players' goods they want to ship out to a remote island. During these phases, players will be able to set the prices for their goods and try to maximize their cash!

Once the goods have reached the island, players will play the part of the purchaser for their tiny island. Players bid for the goods arriving each day by ship, and the highest bidder collects these goods for conversion into points at the end of the game.

Sounds simple? It is! But the real challenge is turning your home production into goods for your island. Your government is willing to subsidize your purchases, but just how much money do you want to give to your competitors for that lovely crate of goods your island desperately needs?

Yokohama
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Once Yokohama was just a fishing village, but now at the beginning of the Meiji era it's becoming a harbor open to foreign countries and one of the leading trade cities of Japan. As a result, many Japanese products such as copper and raw silk are collected in Yokohama for export to other countries. At the same time, the city is starting to incorporate foreign technology and culture, with even the streets becoming more modernized. In the shadow of this development was the presence of many Yokohama merchants.

In YOKOHAMA, each player is a merchant in the Meiji period, trying to gain fame from a successful business, and to do so they need to build a store, broaden their sales channels, learn a variety of techniques, and (of course) respond to trade orders from abroad.

Stone Age with The Expansion
Limited Capacity seats available

This session includes teaching the game, so come right in to register if you want to try the game but have never had the chance to do so thus far. Players who had played before are more than welcome to join too!!

In Stone Age, the players live in this time, just as our ancestors did. They collect wood, break stone and wash their gold from the river. They trade freely, expand their village and so achieve new levels of civilization. With a balance of luck and planning, the players compete for food in this pre-historic time.

The expansion for Stone Age, adds on a new resource type, the ornaments and jewelry – not to mention a merchant to handle such items. Players can now transform their raw materials into jewelry and other adornments.

The expansion includes new location for the village, new cards, and new huts as well – not to mention components that allow game play with up to five Stone Age hunter-gatherers.

Blue Max - WWI Air combat (The Flying Circus)

Others began using their powers to pursue lives of crime. In time, after the desire to dawn capes and fight for Justice faded (such people made themselves and their loved ones targets), law enforcement stepped in, in the form of Heightened Crime Investigation Units to investigate crimes committed by mutants.

As a member of the HCIU Squad (and a mutant) in Nova Arcadia, your job is to investigate a threat made to an anti-mutant activist. Can you find out who the powers are behind this threat? Can you reconcile yourself to protecting a man who would see you exiled or possibly even exterminated? Find out in Shoulder to Shoulder

Gangster Dice

2-4 players. Will run up to 2 games simultaneously.

Things went sideways on that last job and the cops are after you! The investigator is closing in and the evidence is mounting up, but there may be a way to dodge the heat: fingering someone else!

In Gangster Dice, each player starts with a set of six dice which represent the evidence against you. You win the game by getting rid of all your evidence, which often involves pinning it on someone else. To do this you will compete with the other players for control of four tokens that will let you gain, lose, or otherwise manipulate the dice. But be wary of losing too many dice too quickly, as you may find yourself unable to lose the rest!

Tigris & Euphrates
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Regarded by many as Reiner Knizia's masterpiece, Tigris & Euphrates is set in the ancient fertile crescent with players building civilizations through tile placement. Players are given four different leaders: farming, trading, religion, and government. The leaders are used to collect victory points in these same categories. However, your score at the end of the game is the number of points in your weakest category, which encourages players not to get overly specialized. Conflict arises when civilizations connect on the board, i.e., external conflicts, with only one leader of each type surviving such a conflict. Leaders can also be replaced within a civilization through internal conflicts.

Starting in the Mayfair edition from 2008, Tigris & Euphrates included a double-sided game board and extra components for playing an advanced version of the game. This "ziggurat expansion", initially released as a separate item in Germany for those who already owned the base game, is a special monument that extends across five spaces of the board. The monument can be built if a player has a cross of five civilization tokens of the same color by discarding those five tokens and replacing them with the ziggurat markers, placing a ziggurat tower upon the middle tile. The five ziggurat markers cannot be destroyed. All rules regarding monuments apply to the ziggurat monument as well. If your king is inside the kingdom of the ziggurat, you will get one victory point in a color of your choice at the end of your turn.

Automobiles Tournament w/Creator
Limited Capacity seats available

Drivers, start your engines! Will you cross the finish line first? Now is your chance to find out!

Automobiles is a deck‑building game in which the fun is cubed — because instead of using cards to build a deck, you build with your collection of cubes. These cubes not only allow you to race your car around the track, but they also allow you to improve your handling, optimize your pit crew, and boost your speed, all of which are your keys to victory!

The goal of the game is to cross the finish line first! You accomplish this by customizing your race car and surrounding yourself with the best crew. Your race car and crew are represented by a collection of cubes garnered from various options available to you. Starting with the same small set of cubes, each player builds their collection as they play the game. Use these cubes to enhance your performance, train your pit crew, and ensure your race car runs as effectively as possible. Be the first to cross the finish line and watch that checkered flag wave!

Designed by David Short, Automobiles is the third title in AEG's Destination Fun series!

***NOTE: In this tournament there will be 4 games running simultaneously with a max of 4 players each. Then the winners of each of those games will play in a final game using the expansion to determine the ultimate racing champion! Prizes are available, including a promo card for each participant.

Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

This session includes teaching the game, so come right in to register if you want to try the game but have never had the chance to do so thus far. Players who had played before are more than welcome to join too!!

Scythe is an engine-building game set in an alternate-history 1920s period. It is a time of farming and war, broken hearts and rusted gears, innovation and valor. In Scythe, each player represents a character from one of five factions of Eastern Europe who are attempting to earn their fortune and claim their faction's stake in the land around the mysterious Factory. Players conquer territory, enlist new recruits, reap resources, gain villagers, build structures, and activate monstrous mechs.

Scythe uses a streamlined action-selection mechanism (no rounds or phases) to keep gameplay moving at a brisk pace and reduce downtime between turns. While there is plenty of direct conflict for players who seek it, there is no player elimination.

The player who eventually acquires the most coins at the end of the game will be declared the winner!

Trickerion: Legends of Illusion
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Trickerion is a competitive Euro-style strategy game set in a fictional world inspired by the late 19th century urban life and culture, spiced with a pinch of supernatural.

Players take on the roles of rival stage illusionists, each with their own strengths and characteristics. They are striving for fortune and fame in a competition hosted by a legendary magician, looking for a successor worthy of the mighty Trickerion Stone, which is fabled to grant supernatural power to its owner.

Using worker placement and simultaneous action selection mechanisms, the Illusionists and their teams of helpers — the Engineer, the Assistant, the Manager, and a handful of Apprentices – obtain blueprints and components for increasingly complex magic tricks, expand the team and set up performances by visiting the Downtown, Dark Alley, Market Row and Theater locations on the main game board depicting a late 19th century cityscape.

The tricks are stored and prepared on the Magician's own Workshop game board, while the performances themselves take place at the Theater in the form of a tile placement mini-game with lots of player interaction. The performances yield Fame points and Coins to their owners based on the tricks they consist of. Fame points have multiple uses, but they also serve as a win condition - After turn 7, when the last Performance card is revealed, the game ends and the illusionist with the most Fame points wins.

The game offers 48 different Tricks to be learned from the Optical, Spiritual, Mechanical and Escape categories, over 90 character abilities, and 48 Special Assignment cards that influence the actions taken at the various game locations.

Blue Max - WWI Air combat (Bomber Run)
Limited Capacity seats available

Blue Max uses a “plotted” movement system in turns with simultaneous movement followed by combat for that game turn. Damage is allocated with a unique system of damage chits that have color coded sides to represent different levels of damage. Players keep track of the status of their aircraft damage, ammunition supply and maneuvers on a specially designed easy to use record sheets. This game will use the advance rules for elevation. Planes may fly at different altitudes.

Lisboa

Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

isboa is a game about the reconstruction of Lisboa after the great earthquake of 1755.

On November 1, 1755, Lisbon suffered an earthquake of an estimated magnitude of 8.5–9.0, followed by a tsunami, and three days of fires. The city was almost totally destroyed. The Marquis of Pombal — Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo — was then the minister of foreign affairs and the king put him in charge of the reconstruction of Lisbon. The Marquis of Pombal gathered a team of engineers and architects, and you, the players, are members of the nobility members who will use your influence in the reconstruction and business development of the new city. You will work with the architects to build Lisboa anew, with Marquis to develop commerce, and with the king to open all the buildings, but the true reason you do all this is not for greatness or fame or even fortune, but for the most important thing of all in that time: wigs.

Lisboa is played on a real map of downtown Lisbon. During the planning of the downtown project, the type of business permitted in each street was previous determined. The economic motor is driven by the wealth of the royal treasure, and this treasure is controlled by player actions during the game, making each match a totally different experience. The game ends after a fixed number of rounds, and whoever gathers the most wigs by the end of the game wins.

Her name is Lilly Evans, and it’s her birthday. Can you help put Lilly to rest by finding out the REAL truth of her murder 50 years after it happened? And can you discover what's been happening since?

This is an original dark and strange mystery that very much leans into the horror aspect of the ETU setting while still offering a chance for hope and heroism. We'll play "Science Comics," in which a group of has-been and never-were superheroes, villains and minions try to make their mark in the "costumed aggression industry." (Think Dr. Horrible or the Venture Brothers.) Will they make a splash in the fast-paced, exciting world of superheroism? Learn to Wargame - Intermediate
Limited Capacity seats available

Have you ever wanted to play or been curious about board war games, but were confused or intimidated about where to start? Do you have fond memories of Axis & Allies or Risk, but are looking for better designed games? Have you conquered the latest and greatest Euro games and looking for more? Are you looking for thematic games that tell interesting stories or help you understand history? Look no further.

Players may pick from a selection of intermediate war games based on final player count. If you participated in the Introductory Wargame event, or if you have have played "heavy" Euro-games before, then these games will be similar in rules complexitiy on par with games like TI3, Through the Ages, DieMacher or Splotter games.

Rules will be taught and strategies discussed. You can think of this as an introduction to modern wargames, but for those with a good amount of gaming experience. These games are long, there is direct conflict, tell interesting stories and are a lot of fun.

Games Available:
If Three Players - Triumph & Tragedy
A strategic WW2 game for 3 players. One player is Germany/Italy, one is Soviet Union, one is the West (Britain/France/USA.) An area movement, block war game with simple d6, step loss combat (take a hit, rotate the block down one.) What makes it interesting is it starts pre-war in 1936, and war may never break out. There is a deck of diplomacy cards and a deck for technologies, insuring every game plays out differently.

If Four Players - Liberty or Death: The American Insurrection
COIN (Counter Insurgency) system game set during the American Revolution for 4 players. I liken this to a heavy area control game. Mechanics are very abstract for a war game, with a series of events, commands and activities driven by a deck of cards built depending on the scenario being used. Probably the hardest game on the list to wrap your head around initially, but once you learn it, there is an entire series of games you can play.

If Five Players - The Napoleonic Wars (Second Edition)
A card driven game (CDG) for up to 5 players. If you have played Washington's War or Twilight Struggle you already know most of the rules. France starts off very strong and can possibly win on the first turn. The rest of the players must work together to hold off Bonaparte, then look for their window of opportunity to snatch victory. "Buckets of D6" combat, point to point movement, cards dictate a variety of possible player actions.

During each round a pepper card will be drawn from the pepper deck. If the pepper drawn pushes a player over their threshold for that pepper, they have burnt their mouth and are out of the current round.
Before a pepper card is drawn each participant has the opportunity to "Take a Drink" and opt out of the round. This allows the participant to collect what ever points they have collected this round.
The participant who has the most points at the end of the 5th round is the winner.

Each game lasts around 15-20 mins. We can fit 2-3 games within the hour.

2017 Rincon Grand Prix
Limited Capacity seats available

By Popular Demand the Rincon Grand Prix has returned! This year we will be playing Formula Motor Racing, upgraded with large toy cars. Up to Six Teams (teams can be two players or one player operating both cars) will compete for the prestigious Rin Con Cup! (yes, a trophy for the winning team). Championship Points will be accumulated over three races (or two races if time runs short).

Game Description:

In this light racing card game the players must try to maneuver their team of 2 racing cars into the podium positions over a series of races by playing cards to manipulate the line of vehicles to their advantage.

Players can advance their position by playing cards that move their vehicles up the line or drag other team cars back. More powerful cards may require the roll of a dice and can result in great gains or disastrous engine blow-outs that can put cars out of the race and cannot rejoin the fray until the next race begins.

Play is quick and simple with players required to play one action per turn, carry out its effects and drawing a card to end their turn. Each race will end after the draw deck is exhausted with one final turn taking place. Points are then awarded for positions 1-6 and a leaderboard is recorded. As the game evolves the leaderboard will be forever changing and in the final race the drivers will know what they have to do to earn the points in order to sit atop the final standings!

In Puerto Rico players assume the roles of colonial governors on the island of Puerto Rico. The aim of the game is to amass victory points by shipping goods to Europe or by constructing buildings.

Each player uses a separate small board with spaces for city buildings, plantations, and resources. Shared between the players are three ships, a trading house, and a supply of resources and doubloons.

The resource cycle of the game is that players grow crops which they exchange for points or doubloons. Doubloons can then be used to buy buildings, which allow players to produce more crops or give them other abilities. Buildings and plantations do not work unless they are manned by colonists.

During each round, players take turns selecting a role card from those on the table (such as "Trader" or "Builder"). When a role is chosen, every player gets to take the action appropriate to that role. The player that selected the role also receives a small privilege for doing so

Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

This session includes teaching the game, so come right in to register if you want to try the game but have never had the chance to do so thus far. Players who had played before are more than welcome to join too!!

During the medieval goings-on around Orléans, you must assemble a following of farmers, merchants, knights, monks, etc. to gain supremacy through trade, construction and science in medieval France.

In the city of Orléans and the area of the Loire, you can take trade trips to other cities to acquire coveted goods and build trading posts. You need followers and their abilities to expand your dominance by putting them to work as traders, builders, and scientists. Knights expand your scope of action and secure your mercantile expeditions. Craftsmen build trading stations and tools to facilitate work. Scholars make progress in science, and last but not least it cannot hurt to get active in monasteries since with monks on your side you are much less likely to fall prey to fate.

In Orléans, you will always want to take more actions than possible, and there are many paths to victory. The challenge is to combine all elements as best as possible with regard to your strategy.

In addition to new place tiles, this expansion contains a new "beneficial deeds" game board, a new and challenging set of events, and trade contracts. The "Intrigue" introduces ways to hinder your opponents' progress or even allow you to take over your opponents' achievements.

Ten years ago, the utopian interstellar government known as The Combine was shaken to its roots. In what became known as the Mohilar War, the government suffered catastrophic losses of sentient beings, planets, and starships. Forced to pull back on concentrating to protect its core systems, its remaining fleets and soldiers bravely attempted to limit the invasion. Then, five years ago, almost as quickly as they came, the Mohilar disappeared, leaving a devastated galaxy behind them. As citizens of the outer rim, now known colloquially as The Bleed, you are now under very limited control by The Combine. In an effort to regain some measure of control over The Bleed, The Combine has hired Local Autonomous Zone Effectuators (LAZErs) to provide law enforcement throughout the damaged worlds of The Bleed.

As one such LAZEr crew, you are tasked with investigating the remains of an interstellar liner known as Terra Nova, rescue survivors, offload the ship's cargo, and find out what disabled the ship. But the Terra Nova harbors a number of secrets, some of them dangerous. Can your crew achieve your mission, or will you wind up the latest victims of the aftermath of the Mohilar War

Each turn, a player moves one penguin in a straight line over hex-shaped ice tiles with 1, 2 or 3 fish on them. The player then collects the hex from where the penguin started its movement from the table, thereby creating a gap which penguins can't cross on future turns.
